Don't you mean 9 am ? It was Julian Worricker and Karin Giannone tonight. And this morning it was Kate Silverton with Tim Wilcox; not Natasha Kaplinsky.

On the subject of Tim Wilcox, does anyone else find him a bit dominant when he's on with a co-presenter? This morning, he kept interrupting Kate during breaking news. Kate would always wait until Tim had finished speaking before taking over, but Tim just kept cutting her short. It got quite irritating in the end. I can't say he's one of my favourite N24 presenters. In fact, he's probably my least favourite.

Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again...Tim Wilcox is extremely dominant and should go and live on an island where there are no people. He seems to be able to only work alone. I've always alluded to just before Sadam's execution, they brought in a special analyst to join Wilcox on News 24 but Tim Wilcox tried to make it his own show and kept intterurpting and talking over the man who knew far more than Tim himself.

Oh I remember that! The other male presenter was Jonathan Charles. He was BBC World's on duty anchor that morning and because the two channels were simulcasting, they sent Jonathan over to N8 to join Tim. Now, Jonathan Charles has been a world affairs correspondent for many years and has reported many times from the Middle East (in fact, he's currently doing a stint in Iraq). He obviously knew a lot more background information than Tim, yet, as you said, Tim kept cutting him off!

Yes I remember it being extremely awkward and cringeworthy. I wanted to shake Tim by the shoulders. I much prefer Chris Eakin.

Kate Sanderson is now Kate Gerbeau - I did not realise she went back to the BBC from Five News. That is great news

Doh! Got my Sandersons and Silvertons mixed up there. Why do these newsreaders have to have such similar names?!

Actually, on the subject of Sandersons, what happened to Valerie Sanderson? She used to present weekday afternoons with Bill Turnbull on News 24 but disappeared, never to be seen again.

Aw that was a shame. I suppose it would be too good to be true. Not to worry

I believe Val is still at BBC News just no regular presenting role. She certainly was a main News 24 weekday afternoon anchor with Bill Turnbull for quite some time.

Now, are you sure you don't mean Valerie Singleton?
