Ah. Thanks for that. Its a pity they don't use it any more - I think its better than the current one. The start would make a very funky headline bed!

Goodness me Natasha fluffed up a bit on the Music Downloads story didn't she? Shocked

Is the BBC's weather renderer on its way to exploding? I've thought over the last few days it's looked a bit jittery, and the weather on N24 leading into the 19:00 TOTH had a godawful frame-rate.
I see it fit that it is blamed on Ben Brown's mouth.

Just like the autocue angst of the old days. Fortunately she had her notes to read the lines from to save her. Embarassed

Complete with the News 24 logo, on BBC 1. Pardon my ignorance, but is that normal nowadays?

Yes I noticed this too. I thought they reverted to 'BBC News' when simulcasting with BBC1 Confused

This 'News Special' is painful to watch it reminds me of all that endless staring at planes lark on N24 when the England team were getting on/off them for the World Cup.

Not always. Very often 'News Specials' have carried the News 24 DOG.

Nice split screen for the one. How long has that been in use. They have finaly got rid of that terrible stripe pattern they used to use, and matched it with News 24's. Didnt animate though.

Nope - I've been moaning about that for year.

God knows what now would take a BBC News special to be fronted by the BBC1 team - but surely it's not much to ask that they consider BBC1 to be the primary channel for key, planned events like this - and just at least drop the 24 branding - even if they don't bring in the BBC1 hosts or use the BBC1 studio!

( And anyone who wishes to reply with comments like their being no such thing as BBC1 host - shut up! )

EDIT: It appears the BBC1 team were involved - this time!

When they left the split screen thing one the one it made Louise look very out of proportion.
