The transition on the nationals is rubbish. It's the old one which they've quite literally bodged to fit the new style, if you look frame by frame you can see the old globe and ribbons animating then the new ones fade in again over the top of it. Also the globe animation jars slightly, its fast then suddenly stops, then speeds up again when it animates off...

I can't see it. Care to point it out?

I think its strange that the national astons dont animate, or are as flash as N24/World. Its a shame really. I feel sorry for spotlight who updated their astons to match the nationals. Its going to look a right jumble!

Shame that the new nationals astons are so inferior to their immediate predecessors. They just look plain ugly.

I think all these need to improve them a bit is to change the top line to red, or at least another colour from the black. When the picture has a dark background the transparent second line doesnt show up resulting in a solid black aston which doesn't look all that great.

Wish they would ditch that headline bed, and use the one used on News 24, the current one is very tired, and as someone said 8 years old! Overall I think the look works for News 24 and World, but BBC One News still seems messy unfortunately.

The National News is, as ever, a mess. Beds which have been used for 8 years and it is now looking as if they could hit the 10-year mark. I seem to remember the reason for not replacing it last time (despite new vamps being produced in 2004, though never aired) was that it would be too much of a hassle distributing a new vamp to all the regions.

I also can't believe that the stings haven't been updated. They now sound so out of place compared to the main titles. After the slight tweak to the title music last year, it wasn't so noticeable. Now, however, it sticks out like a sore thumb. I wonder if there will be a new closing theme, or whether they will just stick to the 2004 one? I guess we'll only find out at the end of the Ten O'Clock News tonight.

The graphics are also worse than the old ones. Yesterday, the Nationals had the best graphics of all the output. Today, they're the worst!

Oh well, at least N24 and World are of good quality. I suppose we can't have everything.

WHAT! The old sting... old sting?! What are they playing at. Laughing

Agree with the majority.

The beds have long been pretty awful and not updated at all - it's time they took the regional news out of them too considering they've never ever got that right!

The astons look worse - and why change the titles again so quickly. Can't a generic look have some differences - the old titles on the bulletins would make them stand out as they should, not just be a rebranded half hour of News 24!

Not impressed at all. The astons are rubbish. I am not keen on the story tag either...it looks a mish mash.
The sizing issues (as News 24) are also a joke - I find it hard to believe this has not been sorted properly by now.
However, at least it is different. I wish Reporting Scotland would hurry up and move to Pacific Quay...their current titles and astons are diabolical!!

I like the new nationals title sequence. Has N24 changed also?

I suspect the regionalswon't change, it took Spotlight ages to catch up with the others last time!
