Doesn't it sound much more powerful than the wishy washy one they normally use.

Looks like they're dismantling the newsroom in the background. It's very dark and not much seems to be in there and it seems some big removal men are doing all the work.

On the other hand i do like that new version thunderclap... sounds more like the 1999-2006 version.

How long do you think it will take before we see the changes on-screen then?

Also on N24, because the news started 1 minute later on BBC one, they just basically pushed everything a minute ahead, so in fact the countdown for 10:00 was wrong, it was counting down to 10:01!

Well unless the countdown counted down to 10:00 and was left hanging for a minute, how could it be wrong? It's a countdown - doesn't necessarily countdown to the top of the hour.

It keeps getting pushed back and back. We've been given a date this last week but like noggin says, I wouldn't hold your breath.

Any caps? It wasn't used on tonight's evening news (usual one).

Having watched the 1 O'Clock for the first time in a long while and seeing it in the N24 set it got me thinking...what happens if there is a big breaking story (but not big enough it requires blanket BBC1 coverage)? Does News24 just ignore it till the end of the 1?!
