how is that ANY of your business? You were demanding to know if she had kids to see whether you could excuse her for not being on your ideal rota.

Maybe they're trying her out for crimewatch? I'm sure you'd like that Barry.

BBC London's Riz Lateef presenting the national segment BBC News Summary this evening - Louisa Preston for London

I imagine she would be a good option to take over from Ellie Crisell when she goes on maternity leave, having presented the evening BBC London bulletin I take it??

I always thought that Jules Botfield would have made an excellent choice of nationals stand-in presenter. She certainly has had the exposure on BBC LDN and Breakfast. Has she ever presented another stand-alone bulletin?

She's done News 24 and presented the Breakfast with Frost/Andrew Marr Show summaries before.

She's currently off on maternity leave (as announced last summer on Breakast).

I also agree that she's good and would do well presenting bulletins as opposed to reporting, particularly as Breakfast's weekend presenter.

Notice they finally realise a white BBC NEWS end cap doesn't work in News 24 - although it didn't look much better in black!

I see E24 started today on BBC News 24 (15 mins long).

For anyone who missed it, including me, here is the iPlayer link. Click here

What a truly awful show. What's with the constant zooming in and out?!

Hmm - surely it's "E24 with James Dagwell, and a link or two from Gethin"...

(Anyone else remember the News 24 Liquid News weekly "best of"?)

Just been watching E24 online. It isn't good, is it! The music drove me mad after a few minutes. it's not as trashy as it could be, but what with the camerawork and the subject matter, I don't know which of News 24's regular audience this show is appealing to.

The report asking "why are we all interested in Britney Spears," failed to get to the point. Ask 100 people whether they actually care about Spears and 70 will probably say "no, not really." It's not a case of people not being able to get enough of her collapse, it's a case of the media dictating to us that that is what we want to see. The final line, "it may all end in tragedy," was frankly ridiculous. The report just adds to the whole spectacle.
