Ok let me try explain this...

The usual BBC News Studio N6 is being refurbished for the upcoming rebranding, and being prepared for News 24 to move into it.

Until then BBC News is coming from TC7 home to Newsround, and Newsnight, but as this is in use during the One O'Clock news, they are using the News 24 studio N8, which will be home to BBC World when News 24 moves to N6, so N9 - the current BBC World set can be mothballed, all to save money and resources.

I'm assuming that thats the interactive studio...

It take it they're not the normal afternoon update graphics, they look absolutely horrible... I do like how they've got the cracks in the screens in the background though!

Yes I think it was Wink or the moira ariea of TC7.

The block behind the BBC logo is missing though.

I think it's always like that.

It's only been like that since they've been in a different studio...it was always filled in when they were in N6 with the daytime bulletin IIRC

Yep, this is what it looks like normally.

Correct, only been this was since the summaries moved to the interactive studio.

Since they started in the News 24 studio, has there been a day yet when the One O'Clock News *hasn't* been a technically-botched mess? I genuinely think Kate Silverton is fantastic, she's way too good for this.

I have not watched every edition from News 24 but the ones I have seen have each had some sort of problem in addition to BBC London cocking up their opt out every lunchtime Rolling Eyes

They presumably can't replicate them 100% for some reason, I suspect most will have not even noticed Wink

Could a mod make a sticky summarising what's going on? The daily question is getting tedious, and there are three threads with info.

To be honest, I don't know whats going on myself so there's no point in me making a sticky, that said, if someone want to write a good summary of whats going on and PM it to me I'll see what I can do.

The esteemed Mr Wells has added a summary to the first post of the BBC News Rebranding thread (although the smilies have intervened a little!) http://www.tvforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27126&start=0

What's happened is that the cool emoticon appears where he's typed 8 immediately followed by ) - that's the code for that particular emoticon.

I've now killed the emoticons in the post as none were used prior to the summary being added. So now the summary reads as it was intended. Smile
