No the headline recap has been dropped.
On BBC London News they now do the plug for Newsnight, so i assume the other regions are too.
Yes, Newsnight was plugged on Look North Leeds last night.

Seem to be about six different BBC News threads on the go at the moment and I'm losing track of where I'm posting and what goes where, but this should fit here - apologies if already answered.
Simple question - is the Ten o'clock News still doing it's headline recap after the regional news, and if so is Newsnight starting a little bit later to allow them too?

So they just do the dodgy "now the regional news" handover then, which looks awful on every bulletin.
Now they're simulcast on News 24 they should IMO go back to ending each of the main bulletins properly I'm sure they're not going to lose loads of viewers (not that the BBC is supposed to be about viewers) by having a few beeps in between the two.

Really? I thought that the BBC was the one global media organisation which was more about viewers than any other, due to the directly-funded nature of the licence fee.
The quantity of viewers should not be the BBC's sole aim, but it must remain an important factor in deciding whether or not to approve changes. After all, viewers are licence fee payers - and if the licence fee payers don't want to watch your programmes, they will switch over, and if they do that in significant numbers, the BBC loses a lot of its strength in justifying its licence fee.
Seems to me that the BBC is very much about viewers then, even when it's just counting them up.

I've always thought at the end of bullitens they should end it like this...
A reminder of our main headlines...
And still to come on BBC News 24, the sport and business including Virgin's bid to take over Northern Rock
[half second pause, before News 24 opts out of bulliten and moves to trailers]
But that's all from us this lunchtime [/evening] so it's goodbye from me and now we can join our news teams where you are.
Might not work for the one when it is produced by N24 for obvious reasons, so perhaps they could end with 'that's all from me this lunchtime, have a good afternoon.'
Surely everyone who's going to watch the regional news directly after the main news knows it's coming, and if it goes straight to they're titles I don't understand the need for a plug!

I can't say I like that desk. To me it just looks out of proportion with the middle part too thin and then the desk top extending too far out. It reminds me somewhat of a mushroom (without the domed top obviously).

Anyone know what happened during tonight's Six O'Clock News? George apologised at the end of a 'bumpy' programme.
SP
the wrong report was played out, back to George who apologised, hesitated for a few seconds, read the script for the next report and after an uncomfortable couple of seconds of silence apologised that we were returning to the report which had failed to appear, followed by an ad-libbed recap of the setup to it
