I'm stunned.. must be a slow news day.

I noticed a reporter wearing a logo on BBC News the other day and I thought it was strange at the time. Its interesting from a TV presentation point of view. I'm sure there would have been a time when caps of logos appearing on BBC New would have been posted by TV Forum members rather than us having to wait for The Daily Mail to do it.

I know that Spotlight in Plymouth have branded jackets for reporters to wear and I think some other regions might as well.

Look East like to bring out the hi-viz vests now and again. Clearly not replaced very often as they have the old slanted BBC logo - or the remnants of it.

Well the handover from the 1 to the regions went smoothly enough from N6 today: if you were watching on BBC One!

If you watched on News24 it wasn't so good. Sophie handed over to Ben Brown (sat next to her) - after she gave some shifty looks over the delay to a quick sting. He continued to recap the headlines, to the additional noise of lots of movement in the background (no doubt Sophie leaving).

Well they'll have to get this right as the 1 and News 24 will be coming from the same studio permanently from now on I presume. Both will be moving into N6 together when it's ready won't they?

Yes, but whoever is designing N6 for this dual purpose will have this in mind.

If I was doing it, I would have two desks, the background and lighting on one could be changed to reflect the style of the nationals, at the end of the bulletin they would have the weather then the regional opts on BBC One, but returning to the main area for News24.

Indeed, but I'm sure they'll get it right by tomorrow!

They have had to give it more thought this time because they will be sharing the one for the next few months.
