I would imagine that it won't be too easy to tell when they move studio - the BBC are going to want to make things as consistent as possible.
On a different note interesting to see confirmation of what many had suspested in the Independent interview with Dermot admitting that he wanted the Six or the Ten and not getting either was his reason for leaving the BBC.

I didn't mean just paint it for the weekend, I meant paint it grey and leave it thus until they move back to N6 in March/April. This of course would be a way of knowing they were in TC7 - the floor will be grey for NN.

Do you think the BBC are so bothered that somebody like us might notice a tweak in the set whilst they change it? They've already publically said they're moving studios for a bit whilst they upgrade N6.
Surely, by that logic, News 24 should be moving into TC7? i.e. "do a swap" to the ideas they've got now, thus Breakfast, NN, WL, NR, the 6 in N6, and the rest in TC7?

God that equipment looks so old! Can someone tell me, these screens have to be left on constantly except for maintenence (which I don't understand anyway) but what's to stop the images buring into them?

iirc the reason for them being left on is essentially "last time they turned them off it took ages to get them all working properly again"
I would presume that as the longest projection would be the (animated) newsnight one it might not matter as it will change every few hours, unless that was just turned on for those photos and it normally transmits black
