Was it just the Midlands who had a generic Network announcement and a BBC London insert just then on the One?

The generic network announcement is the London feed!

'This is London' on Katie Derham and Emily Maitlis

While I take their point that Katie Derham shouldn't have presented the lunch time news dressed in leather - hardly smart - they go on to talk about Emily Maitlis's controversial moment when she showed her legs a bit. But they got the wrong thing - saying it was controversial because she was sitting on the desk not behind it for the ten's tailer. But I could have sworn Huw and Fiona do that all the time for the trailers! Shocked

Your right but I'm yet to see a tailer in which Huw shows a bit too much of his legs Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Fiona traditionally perches on the desk for the bumper. Think Huw usually stands or leans rather than perching.

Just to say, as I started a discussion about it last week, Huw Edwards gets to the BBC at 2.30 when he's on the ten...

Huw gets to work at about 2.30pm when he's reading the 10 o'clock news

Yeh I thought that too but to be honest too much is put on this! Women often show their legs in business or in an office - so why not on TV?

Meanwhile I've always thought Joanna fitted Breakfast well - much better than the likes of Susanna Reid, Louise Minchin or Kate Silverton. Sian meanwhile - Very Happy

Would it be easier if we renamed this thread the BBC News Fantasy Presenter Thread, so that those of us with literally no interest in cataloguing rotas and tossing off over the best theoretical combinations can avoid this tedium?

Seriously, I'm not the only one who's been bored to death by these rota discussions for literally years - how is it that we're no closer to finding an acceptable way to group presenter discussions together so that the rest of us don't have to wade through this crap?

I couldn't agree more. This presenter rota nonsense is so tiresome that my computer is screaming at me to kill it or scorch all references to it off the hard disk. Anyway, shouldn't we be discussing the presenters' individual merits and faults rather than what groupings and times they're on?

Indeed you are not the only one. Fantasy rota tedium should be clearly marked with a warning sign to prevent accidental exposure.

May I suggest the following at the top of each page:

To borrow an image from last year would, I think, be more appropriate
