The BBC News 24 "whenever you need to know advert" with Huw Edwards and promoting watching online seems to have been revised for the regional programmes. Have just seen one for BBC Look East after the regional news this evening.

No it's Ben Brown tonight, presenting with Sian.

I think it's high time Ben was promoted to the main presenter of Newsnight. He's very very good.

Of course he's no Paxman, because Paxman is too smug, arrogant, and thick to even hold down a decent interview.

Ben should replace him instantly, simply because he's much more confident, amusing, quick-witted, watchable and articulate.

Also an interesting fact about the country's best newsreader - did you know his father, Anthony Brown, used to be an ITN newscaster from 1956 to 1965?

Because he is slow. He makes things drag on forever and he is extremely boring.

I'm glad he no longer presents of World... I'd rather he go back to reporting though.
