Just out of interest, is Carolyne Wyatt a bloke, or just a woman with an incredibly deep voice?

I have to be honest, whenever I'm watching a report of hers and didn't catch her name given by the newsreader, I always think it's a man talking until she appears on screen.

The same thing happens to me with Tanya Arnold on Look North (Leeds).

They have got round to updating the BBC Sport graphics on the Nationals then. Not sure if they have changed on N24 however.

BBC World seemed to of started using BBC Sport graphics during the news bulletins now.

BBC World, News 24 and BBC One News areas all now have Viz RT for full-frame graphics - which supports the animation required for the full BBC Sport animating tables.

Am I right in thinking these are a copy of Sport's graphics rather than the exact same? The football tables in particular look a bit naff. Any reason for this?

They are also incredibly hard to read as the text has been made much smaller.

Yes, I imagine you'd be screwed if you have a small TV set. What was wrong with the old BBC World ones? They tied in nicely with the rest of the bulletin graphics and since N24 and World don't simulcast for sports news, I don't see any problem. Most likely change for change's sake, something which seems to be happening a lot at the BBC recently.
