I think what you have to remember is all the presenters work for BBC News so in theory they can appear anywhere - be that BBC One Nationals, News 24 or BBC World. That's all that's happening.

Really though that's like saying they all work for the BBC so could appear on BBC News, Blue Peter or Saturday Kitchen!

That's very different. They are all News Presenters who work for BBC Television News - thus they can be used across the range of output. Hence George doing BBC World, Emily working across BBC One, N24 and Newsnight, Jon Sopel doing the Politics Show, the BBC Three presenters also doing BBCi. Simple way of saving money really.

Odd scheduling of the 'early evening' news today. 15.20!

There is a junction at 17.50, after the rugby. Very odd.

edit....

Emaily Maitlis has just said there is a bulletin before the late news, but it is not listed. If true, there will be 4 bulletiins today on One.

The regional news at 3.25 was even more of a joke

They pointlessly did the latest football results, but half the scores on screen didn't match what the presenter read out, as the slides will have been prepared a few minutes ago

Ben Brown back on the 6 tonight. Wonder what's going on as Dermot is available, and Bill is about too.

Maybe Dermot's on the ten tonight, and seeing as he did Breakfast he might not have wanted to do the six as well.

Different 'look' to a report from Berlin on the 6 tonight, as if it was filmed on a different kind of technology. It looked more like film than VT.

Anyone know what was different?

Dermot and Bill were both presenting Breakfast this morning, Dermot in the studio and Bill on location. So neither are readily available probably for this evening.

Oh ha ha... as if they would let Konnie Huq read the news Laughing !

The ten tonight will probably be one on location and one in the studio, I would have thought.

Perhaps Huw/Natahsa on the loose, and Emily Maitlis/Huw in London?

Oops...someone forgot to press play on the head bed on the six.

And do you know it had more impact like that. So little of what we hear has no bed nowadays, hearing just clear speak makes you sit up and take notice!
