It was interesting to hear that the BBC Election team were scrambled together 10 days ago and preparing for an election campaign. Surprised

Really? I would have thought this possibility would have been thought of way back when Tony Blair announced his retirement date.

Yes - "thought about" and actually assembling a team aren't the same thing. There are a large number of jobs that need to be done in the run-up to an election - but you can't start doing these until you know the election date...

Ok ok i consider myself slapped...

So has Sian moved to the six, Kate moved to Breakfast, Louise moved to mornings on News 24 and Emily Maitlis now on afternoons full time?

I'd imagine things are still a bit 'up in the air' at the moment, and that it'll probs be like that for a while. Bosses will want to make sure they've got the right combos, and what not...

I don't understand why Louise Minchin is used so much on the domestics. She's OK, but Jane Hill is far far better.. journalistically, stylishly and with better looks and personality. Put Jane on the one, Sian on this Six and Kate on Breakfast. Sorted.

Is Mishal Hussein completely out of the running? I thought she was superb when she did breakfast. warm and Intelligent: kind of eased you into the day's news without jolting you awake! A very important quality in early morning news, I feel.

I'd prefer Kate and Jane in their respective slots on 24.
