Oooh! Some cringeworthy moments on the weather at the moment! Louise didn't know who the presenter was, and then at the TOTH weather, you could hear the weather presenter going "Okay, cheers", followed by what sounded like a muffled "Sh*t"

Is it Louise from 4 and John from 5 today? Haven't got the tv on so don't know.

another blood dogs dinner of a TOTH. Every time I've watched since the rebrand its been a mess.

Having said that, I've now decided i love the graphics. The translucent swoosh on the breaking news graphic is particularly lovely.

Hrmm, yes they do grow on you, especially the breaking news.

But they still need to ban gill sans, align the LIVE bug, and on the headers at the top of straps, they need to fit the text...

why? and what font would you prefer.

Gill Sans in the BBC's logo font. It's the font in the BBC News logo and therefore it works well when it is the main font of BBC News itself

The font for BBC FOUR's logo is Gill Sans, but on their endboards Swiss is used. Plus, every other part of the BBC is leaving Gill Sans behind so why do BBC NEWS insist on going back to it?

Gill Sans is good for logos, but not for "text" if you get me. Swiss should be the font used.

I agree, swiss would be a great alternative. And Gill Sans looks very ugly when it is used a lot on the same screen.

Looks like a mistake at the TOTH on BBC News channel. The online stream had BBC London headlines for a few seconds, followed by the sports headlines. Who opts from who now for the headline sequence on networked bulletins?
