Not necessarily for the BBC or Channel 4, as they offer radio services - but shouldn't ITV follow the route of Five with a ".tv" domain? It makes sense.

itv.tv - hmmmm, clumsy! Possibly i.tv - that would be a short URL!

A lot of the country TLDs are unrestricted - like .am for Armenia or .fm for the Federated States of Micronesia and .dj for Djibouti.

.us is quite common - imageshack.us and delicio.us spring to mind. .com is generic - and was originally made for commercial organisations, but is now unrestricted. Just because the US use it most, does not make is a US TLD.

What a dull read the last five pages are.

You are talking about a thread dedicated to the intricate details of a twenty-four hour news channel.

Was that the first time N24 and BBC One have split since the move to N6?

BBC One had a news summary (seemingly from N6) with Jane Hill whilst N24 were with the live Clinton speech. Wonder what the plan was if that had finished midway through?

Anyone know what BBC HD did during the news?

BBC HD went to the News, with I think it being upscaled as the cracks between screens were more visible.
