He almost cried at the end. What a drama queen.
No he didnt, he was angry at the cock up, which is understandable. If you make a mistake at work, or a problem occurs ofcourse your going to react to it.
I like him as a presenter, for example, this is a very funny moment from the golden days of News 24:

N8 currently does not exist as a studio-its in bits and peices in boxes.
Its not used at all at the moment. World will move there soon but the studio you see is N9 beetween 9.30-10.00.pm
Could've sworn on the occasions I've seen N9, it was darker !
Before the 2004 refit, N9 was considerably darker. When they put in all those lightboxes, it brightened up a lot. Take a look at some of my videos on YouTube to see the pre-2004 N9, if you wish.
Thanks itsrobert for the many videos you have uploaded to Youtube, can I ask if you have any from the 2000 relaunch?
Thanks harshy. Sadly, the earliest videos I have for BBC World are September 2003 - many of which I've uploaded. I do have a large collection of clips from the first few months of the orange/black look, from December 2003 onwards. I shall be uploading those in the coming months.

Has World itself actually moved into N8 yet or not, as it seems it's only being used for half an hour each day, unless World is on a half hour recorded programme at that point?
Is N8 changing to match the same rough design as N6 at some point, as you really notice the difference at 930pm?

Different durations?
Different editorial requirements for the two networks?
All sorts of reasons why you might want two different forecasts on the two different networks.

Why 2 live weather bulletins at the same time?
If the simulcast news bulletin end is near BOTH or TOTH, why not just take one live bulletin instead.
It dosen't matter who's presenting it, the weather's important just the same!

Surely though if one of the main objectives with the recent changes to BBC News (and the BBC more generally) has been to cut costs, to the point where major bulletins are simulcast on BBC One and the news channel, then having two separate, live weather bulletins, presented by two different presenters is something of a luxury? I mean, different editorial requirements certainly haven't stopped the news from being simulcast - why not the weather? As for different durations, if that were really an issue, I would have thought you could just pre-record one of the forecasts?
I appreciate I might be looking at things from a layman's perspective, and not with any deep inside knowledge of how the BBC operates, but I guess I just find it curious that so much energy has gone into cutting costs in terms of news output, and yet not apparently when it comes to weather.

I'm not sure that it is necessarily possible for them to save money by merging the two forecasts. The reason being the forecasters present across networks throughout the day. The forecasters for BBC One also cover:
* News 24, Radio 4, BBC ONE and BBCi - morning and early afternoon
* News 24, BBC FOUR, BBC THREE, News 24 and BBC ONE - afternoon and evening
* News 24, BBCi and BBC ONE - daytime
