N8 currently does not exist as a studio-its in bits and peices in boxes.
Its not used at all at the moment. World will move there soon but the studio you see is N9 beetween 9.30-10.00.pm


Could've sworn on the occasions I've seen N9, it was darker !

I still think it's good that a few odd ones crop up - really hits home the fact that changing the name was a stupid idea and the News 24 legacy lives on!! Smile

I still cannot comprehend why they've kept the '24' in 'Film 24' - again shows how effective the name was - the idea that every add-on programme could be linked to the channel.

I've also noticed that now all entertainment bulletins are now called 'E24' not 'Entertainment 24' during the weekdays and 'E24' at weekends, but almost everyone night (Mon-Thurs), it's introduced as 'Entertainment 24.'

It's these small things (along with the major flaws with 'The News Channel Evil or Very Mad ) that make the ouput look very disjointed and messy.

Before the 2004 refit, N9 was considerably darker. When they put in all those lightboxes, it brightened up a lot. Take a look at some of my videos on YouTube to see the pre-2004 N9, if you wish.

Has anyone noticed there's hardly been any straps for headlines at TOH or Half past I think it looks neater . . . for one they're all the same and it doesn't differ from world or national.

Nice cock up at the end of the National simulcast on the NC. We joined Tomasz Shafernacker who seemingly couldn't tell if he was on air for the weather, hethen after a short pause had a strop saying "I dont know if im on, gallery over to you" whilst hanging up his clicker.

Cut to the BOTH sting and then the studio with Joanna who exclaimed that he would be paid handsomely by Aunties Bloomers for that Laughing

Did anyone record it? It was so funny! Remember he is the BBC's best weather presenter, and I loved his comments. It joins the montage of gaffs and mess ups over the past few weeks or so.
