It's not as if the power's going to be cut of to TV Centre at bang on 13:00. I'm sure there's a provision for them to keep broadcasting from there should the need arise.

They obviously could physically do it, but I think it's more that they've done quite a bit of hype surrounding 1pm tomorrow, which could easily be changed in the case of breaking news. Not a major issue but would be interesting nevertheless.

Don't forget, BBC4 still has one more show regarding TVC on Friday.

Would the BBC auction off things like the news desks, or the frosted glass panels from the sets? Should the more obsessive fans keep an eye on the skips outside the news centre at TVC?

Generally speaking they donate them either to Wood Norton, BBC Academy or to local colleges for their media productions, or they end up on the BBC News tours (if such a thing exists). I don't recommend skip raiding on Wood Lane, it'll result in a S136...

Would have been a cool thing to do for Comic Relief.

A lot of the furniture and a few other items from Bush House were auctioned off about a month after the closure. There wasn't anything terribly exciting but if you need to acquire dozens of folding chairs or some bashed tables in the near future it's worth keeping an eye out.

I suppose they could bring back Blue Peter Bring-and-Buy sales.

His comment was quite amusing...

'Well we're still here. The BBC News channel will start broadcasting live from it's new home - from One O'clock tomorrow. So try and stay with me for the rest of this evening...'

Not thought through that ending to the Network bulletin as far as the News Channel is concerned. They could have had a short news sting (as they do on the half hour) which would have given enough time to relight the studio.

From that clip used at the end of the 10pm just now with Mishal, it sounds like Mr Lowe has sexed up the titles music quite a bit in addition to the new funky hold that we can already hear over on World News. It sounds like he's added more strings and makes it sound a lot more dance-like at the climax...can't wait to hear it all tomorrow!

Yeah, after all the *ZOMG PANIC* during the week, if that's the final cut, it's fine. And longer too.

The only problem I have with BBC News' branding is that the globe is only used on titles/stings, unlike ITV News who use their 'squares' as as wipe, Daybreak who use the sun and sunbursts as wipe and part of their graphics, Sky News use those virtual 'pillars' from their TOTH sequence across their output and the LT's are the same as their LIVE and BREAKING NEWS wipes.

I hope someone recorded the news channel version of the handover, my opt on BBC One East seemed fine, but not the same for all regions apparently
