Apologies for posting another mock this is the first and last one i promise, but I think it will look more like this.

The grid and character spacing is taken off a real life BBC World graphic.

Of course the clock on the current graphics has a grey background, but in the new graphics there is no grey block so I omitted it.

That was what I was trying to achieve - well done!

Although I think the clock really does need to be in Gill.

How do you make pictures like this

A combination of Photoshop and a screen grab of the actual graphics.

Thanks Worzel Smile yeah in my mind I'm not too sure what they'll do with the clock but again basing it on BBC World News they seem to only use Gill in the logo, everything else is Helvetica, I will stop waffling as its not a mocks thread.

Yes sorry, of course it's C. The 5 will be in C every day as E is rehearsing for the 6.

Interested to see what kind of backdrop they use on the News Channel during those hours when they're in something other than their main Studio E. Something made to look like E's real newsroom background? You'd think the difference would be noticeable, more so than say the difference between N6 and TC7 which to the casual viewer were probably pretty indistinguishable.

If so, why have the 6 and 10 in E at all? Why not just give them Studio C or somewhere, if they're supposed to have their own "identity" distinct from NC bulletins. As it stands, it almost seems it will be the 5 and 9 o'clock hours that will look unduly "special" coming from another studio, but I'll be happy to reserve judgement until Monday.

I have seen in a pic somewhere - a very ropey shot of a monitor which looks like the new news channel graphics - will try and find it.

Edit: here it is (the clock mind you, looks miles away from the 'NEWS' on the logo - I hope they were just prototype graphics and have been tidied up).

By the looks of things, the font on the clock is indeed Helvetica.

Aah yes Worzel, I remember seeing this, that's the reason I did the clock like that without the grey block, in that screenshot the ticker is in breaking news mode when that happens the whole ticker matches the bbc news red at the bottom, I have a feeling though the clock may have been tweaked a bit, it might be a slightly different shade of red different to both ticker and logo, well we'll find out soon enough Smile

Would be good if clock and ticker had different colour schemes

If this turns out to be the case, I wonder what the backdrop will look like. The London-esque backdrop will be understandable for those outside the UK (i.e. on WN) but for those inside?
