No fancy shots or music but a nice history of the studio. Crying or Very sad

I thought that extended portion of N8 has been dismantled already, since they do not even show in its last few days!
a bit sad though that they did not do anything fancy, but simply "thanks for the memories."

Looks like the entire studio was intact including the mini desk, I guess now work will start with dismantling or putting Lenny Henry cutouts like they did with N9.

Newswatch talking about Monday's move with BBC News Channel controller, Sam Taylor.

I notice at the start of the piece, they have a viewer's comment about the current studio - with a picture of Tim Willcox in N8 - which seems a little odd.

'You'll see presenters standing up a bit more and out and about around the building'. Smile

Plus we get about a second look at the new studio before it wipes into the email graphics - this is the best paused shot I could get.

I also noticed that there has been no mention of "international journalist, broadcasters gathered in one place", ala- World's Newsroom , all i heard from the newswatch video are "london-based journalists."

is it because there is a mention of the licence fee?

And yes, news presenters finally reveals on monday that they actually have legs! Laughing

On a somehow different note, I notice N24 does not promote their presenters' or other programmes' Twitter accounts whilst WN does. How come this is the case?

Maybe something to do with advertising restrictions on BBC maybe?

Hmmm... to some extent Breakfast invites users to post their responses on their Facebook account.

That little farewell to N8 is about as good as we could have expected, given how to the avergage joe the studios all look the same anyway. Was it really opened in 1999 though - I'm sure it was towards the end of 1998 that I first saw it (I remember seeing a bit of News 24 after Children In Need ended and thinking that it looked like they had moved)?

I hope there is a half decent farewell to N6 and indeed TV Centre at lunchtime on Monday, and that it isn't hush hush to allow NBH to make a big entrance at 1.

The last BBC News at Five O'Clock bulletin from Television centre N6 I would have thought, Maxine Mawhinney has tweeted that she is going to take lots of behind the scenes photos and share them on twitter.

I think most of us are surprised that anything has been mentioned about the move on air at all. The short news channel promo, Kate Silverton mentioning the move at the end of the News at One, Sophie Raworth giving TC7 a send of on the Six and Gavin also giving N8 a final goodbye. Not to mention both Nick Miller and Thomasz Schafernacker saying on air that we were watching their final weather forecasts from TVC respectively. Then the 10 minutes dedicate to the move on Newswatch with the NC controller Sam Taylor being interviewed about Monday.

I think the Ten on Sunday will do something special to say goodbye to N6 (although I doubt they will switch off the Barcos for fear of them not coming on again!) and the News channel will certainly, I'm sure do a final N6 farewell just before the One on Monday.

The Barcos in TC7 last night looked well and truly burnt out, as do the ones in N6. Wink

I take it these aren't the same Lamps in the Barcos since 2006.

It's those projected screen which provides the newsroom backdrops.
