BBC News Graphics from Smoke Watch feed. Perhaps Nationals and News Special Graphics?

Indeed it seems the new graphics have been used by mistake online.

That would fit with what they've been using on The Andrew Marr Show and Sunday Politics' news summaries.

You could visibly see the weather presenter filling before 6pm, as there wasn't a countdown and they went straight to Jon Sopel with the headlines.

Also, the ticker had a weird 'Update' section just before the white smoke appeared - it said something like 'Cardinals are still deliberating over the next Pope, with full coverage on BBC News'.

Silly question now but is it not possible to switch on some of the lights in the background for an hour or two?

I'm watching it now and its Panorama with no straps.

BBC World News is fine though

Jay Wynne also presented the weather with the revamped graphics from NBH instead of Louise Lear from TVC.







Notice that the ticker stayed on and the graphics are slightly higher, which suggests the ticker will stay on during forecasts from next week.

Kasia Madera has tweeted they had "a full on meltdown" which led to her ad libbing most of the bulleltin at 0100.

So that's what why I noticed that Kasia is simply talking and not doing the Studio B splitscreen thing.
Even at the bottom of the hour, there's no bumps and the lower-thirds (with the "Newsday" strap) is still there while Kasia is talking.
