Seriously? You're judging it by comments made here? Why not wait till its on screen?

I'm saddened by the fact that this is the only sensible post made in the last few pages of discussion.

I thought I made a similar point a few pages back! Smile

Just to clarify what's been said here, yes the titles graphics are shorter, but music is same length to cover newsroom and studio camera pan. I wouldn't say the new music was a 'pigs ear' but it does feel a little awkward with the re-cut visuals I think, but that is just down to personal opinion. Wait and see what you think next week.

...and I've not had a chance to watch closely enough to say whether or not the titles are a mess (at first glance they're not), but can confirm that that is what they do.

I highly doubt they've cut the titles short, if anything, I think they will have gone along with WN and slowed the titles down as such.

The animations are the same length from what I've seen, the music is longer though because the main bit of the music doesn't play over the titles, it plays over the wide shot of the newsroom, studio and zoom in on the presenter.

We been given false information by trivial matters Sad

You haven't.

The animation is not the same length.
It's considerably shorter.
The music has been re-worked by David, to make it work to the storyboard.
The overall duration of 'the titles' has increased by 2 seconds only.

Yeah we can only hope what we've heard is just that rehearsals and they are still putting the building blocks in place, but with a week to go, its cutting it a bit fine isnt it, music not ready, but we've heard so many things today so we really do need to see this on screen.

A couple of Vine videos:

This shows the weather plasma on the balcony overlooking the newsroom with Simon McCoy.

A shot into Studio E with Sophie Long, maybe. Simon McCoy then appears!

Weather on the balcony, looks exciting but isnt it going to be noisy in the background?

In the second one that's not Simon McCoy.

Depends on what kind of microphone they use...

It is? To me, it doesn't look Sophie Long, rather Sophie Raworth.

Interesting to see the studio from that angle though...

Looks more like Emily Maitlis, by the hair and the way she's seated.

That hand over the lens is clearly staged as you can see the chap who walks over, starts walking from a point (in the reflection) rather than right across the glass.

Whoever it is she's probably pondering how to deal with this new headline sequence Wink
