Interesting opt out of the Six just then. It went from George ending the bulletin into a trailer, then went straight to Sportsday, with no news summary from the NC presenter.

I suppose it gives the gallery team chance to get used to the revised schedule, regarding cut aways etc.

Surely they'd be practising that in the pilots at NBH rather than at the old facilities?

Maybe something's wrong with the News Channel presenter - they've just ended Sportsday and gone straight to Sara Coburn with the business news.

Just to make clear this new title sequence and music is not being used on BBC World News, is it?

Sara more than able to do the news as well as the business, should the need have arisen.

Why am I not surprised by the suggestion that the BBC have made a 'pigs ear' of this.

I'm saddened by the fact that this is the only sensible post made in the last few pages of discussion.

Indeed, she used to cover BBC1 bulletins in the 90s if I remember rightly.

I'm not making a final judgment on something before it happens, that would be stupid. I hope it will be spectacular, however, my expectations for this relaunch have been at rock bottom for a while and nothing i've read about it gives me any hope whatever... but I am not above putting my hands up and saying I was wrong if it turns out to be spectacular.

The budget must be the first 'big' news story the News channel will cover at NBH (unless there's any huge Breaking News on the first day or two)?

The News channel does seem/feel quite 'strange' this evening. I don't know if its Jon Kay's handling of the Huhne Channel 4 News interview and the throwing to and from Chris Mason at Westminster, or it being single headed.
