Philippa Thomas in Studio A, in a virtual re-creation of the Vatican. Looks really good.

They've even got echos in this video, similar to the place itself. Clever!

I seen on twitter that they would move at 1.00 for the national news but surely they wouldn't do that because the 1.30 back half hour would be displaced with four different presenters in that 11-2 shift on the day?

The move will be at 1300. Not sure what the plan is with presenters, but don't forget that just like when World moved, there'll be someone standing by at TVC all afternoon just in case.

Probably what could happen are arrangements similar to the olympic season when you had just one presenter in N24 all the way until the 'nationals.'

The music used in that promo is nice, new beds perhaps? Lots of nice little subtle musical flourishes that I can here in there, nice sound strings too!

Yep there are refreshed beds and title music. Some are brand new beds, some are just simple tweaks to the existing music.

Will World News get them too?

Is there not a possibility that the 10:30pm press preview (after the nationals) may come from the Newsroom itself? That would be rather funky.

All looks rather shiny and new, and it'll certainly be nice to have a bit more variety in the way the NC is presented. The only thing I'm not keen on are those ugly grey lift doors in the background.

They sure look like lift doors, but I believe they're just doors into the galleries. Terrible.

AFAIK they are putting plasma screens infront of some of those doors.

BTW Opinion forming about the studio before its even made it to air is absolutely ridiculous.

The move will be at 1pm on Monday

From 1pm on Monday 18 March, the BBC's television news services - the BBC News Channel and BBC News at One, Six and Ten - will begin broadcasting from brand new studios at New Broadcasting House in central London.

The move marks the end of the migration of BBC News and Current Affairs staff from Television Centre to the BBC's new central London headquarters, which offers journalists a purpose-built newsroom, studios and operating systems fit for the digital era.

And since that promo was filmed - they have gone.

Since I first watched the promo, the lift doors really looked terrible on screen.

Doors gone, or hidden?

I wonder, will this be BBC NC exclusive music or do we expect it to be on WN as well...

---

I really hope that when BBC NC moves to NBH, they will have a unified box logo...
Maybe that will force BBC WN to unify their box logo, from the countdown, breakfiller, promotions.

at least BBC WN box logo on What If? program's endcard is using the new one.
