A trailer for the new look News Channel aired just before Newsday.

definitely low-key, straight to business & no non-sense.
looks a bit dark, but probably going to do some lighting changes...

frankly, i do not expect a longer version of the video, since they have all explained everything.
from 18 march, this is the new studio... yadda yadda... done.

i still prefer the dramatic effects of "The World's Newsroom" promo. Laughing

My word, the presenters have grown legs? Matthew Amroliwala standing up by the wall? Sorry I had to say that. Wink

I like the trailer, it's actually very 'teasing' enticing you to tune in from next Monday. I wonder if this promo will also be shown on BBC1/2/3/4?

I'm also glad they've shrunk down the boxed logo too, much less intrusive - but still clear.

I like the trailer. The newsroom is a bit dark and the desk's just similar to World News, the same color but I think the promotion says it all, but if there would be a longer version, it would be great.

And also the logo used is good-looking.

Simple & to the point, short enough to tag in before the count of each hour.

There must be another version for the national bulletins.

Listings for the 18th are now live. The only obvious change and perhaps an indicator of sorts is Clive Myrie on the late slot.

and seemingly doing the newspapers twice - 10.30 and 11.30 - like Sky News.

Ooh, the real newsroom behind Jane Hill looks very nice, although just a bit dark, but as other members have said, it looks like a vignette has been applied to the video or something.

Anyone notice the fact 'News Channel' is not referred to once. Are they reverting back to simply 'BBC News'?

Maybe the new set up is one presenter at the desk and one presenter at the news wall? , but the studio looks okay! Arrow

Its a bit too dark for my liking, they'll have to add a light or two, now why wasnt World given a live backdrop from "The Worlds Newsroom", they go on and on about it yet it ended up as three studios with big barcos.

For some reason it reminded me of the backdrop used in the late 80s.

Its like Worlds main one but with a live backdrop as well.

I seen on twitter that they would move at 1.00 for the national news but surely they wouldn't do that because the 1.30 back half hour would be displaced with four different presenters in that 11-2 shift on the day?

And the desk's look like they have been replaced during piloting! I liked the old ones they put in first!
And the desk Is similar to BBC WORLD'S , the only difference is the side bits don't stick out!
