I'm pretty sure they'll make some reference on the Six next Friday as apart from the Eight it'll be the last program ever from TC7 before it gets demolished.

I doubt they will as 99% of viewers would then wonder why the Ten is coming from the same studio!

The last Six from TV Centre in general is more likely to be said.

I mean the Eight O'Clock News Summary that is done from TC7.

Yes, but I think most viewers won't realise that the Ten comes from a different studio to the Six.

Is the 10 giving n6 a goodbye?

It would nice if the 10 came from TC7 on that night. It would be fitting as a final tribute to TVC. That then leaves the NC to say goodbye to N6 on Sunday. Also, on the Ten's final broadcast from TVC (on Friday), it will be at 10:30pm instead because of Red Nose Day.

I thought the news channel would give a little goodbye to n9 , I know it wasn't a news channel studio . But world didn't bother! , or will it still be used for the elections?

I've heard that May's local election programme will still come from TVC, though I don't know which studio. Given that it's been N9 in the past, it wouldn't surprise me if it's used again.

I don't want to cast doubt on your sources - but I find that very hard to believe. Why would they broadcast from TVC in May when, by then, all their resources (journalistic and technical) will be based at NBH? It doesn't make much sense.

And yet some say TVC will be closed after March.

That would be very illogical, as has already been said, the whole news operation will have moved facilities. Also, by then can we not expect them to have begun ripping out the old sets back into office space?

A rehearsal to see how viable doing the next General Election from TC1 will be?

I would rather the next general election came from NBH. They could use the whole building as an Election HQ type thing, with the multitude of presenters/correspondents based around the building.

I don't see why that would be an issue. The BBC have hired a studio at ITN for several election programmes over the years. Clearly NBH does not have a suitably large enough studio to accomodate an election programme so they need to use one somewhere. If TVC is available, why not use it?

But N9 is tiny compared to Studio B. They could even go virtual and use Studio A, they could make the studio as big as they wanted that way!
