Wonder if he means that the big circular thingy that hangs above the newsroom - and which is directly in front of the trundle cam - will feature prominently?

The "new BBC News Channel top-of-the-hour titles/camera sequence" is described as 'round' by @MaxPreston. Interesting!

I notice how he says 'We have big aspirations of using these new big screens, with presenters walking along them using an iPad to keep an eye on scripts'. Or words to that effect. Maxine Mawhinney also mentioned the 'catwalk' as she described it, in an earlier Twitter post.
I would assume then, that we will see the return in some part to stand-up presentation on the News channel.

I think that will be the new norm for BBC News when they move to NBH in weeks time, since BBC WN has been doing that on GMT, Impact, Global, and other branded programs.
Unless they only plan to do that for National newscasts.
Presenter introduces top story from the screen and then returns to desk later.

Few days ago I saw a tweet (someone retweeted it) from what I suppose is the company that made the current fake newsroom background. It said something about how now viewers will get to see the real thing and that their design was meant to be used for only 2 years top. Of course since the NBH move got delayed a lot, it had to be used for 4 years.

Unless I've missed something in this thread... theres been no confirmation of a move date. So why is the 18th circled on the calendar?

It's been mentioned by several BBC News presenters, such as Martine Croxall, Maxine Mawhinney. Any more evidence that I've missed, people?

I think Martine Croxall has tweeted that it is the 18th?
