So the news channel presenter is in vision between :25 and :35 (roughly).

I think that's right.

I'd scrap that bit between the Ten and Sportsday and hand straight over. The headlines are recapped twice (?) on the Ten anyway.

Must we have the almost endless fantasising posts about how they could avoid the awkward hold at the end of a simulcast bulletin?

It's all change at 2226... The cult of the Ten handover is gone.

Will the News Channel still have a few seconds of Huw glaring down his nose at us at 2200? I do hope so.

Don't forget the trademark head tilt too.

Btw, I've been told by someone I know who works at NBH to 'Keep an eye on Arial over the nect day or two about something you've been waiting for'.

I believe she may be illuding to an official press release about the News channel/Nationals move, confirming the date at least.

Just the handover? Hope it means a proper close, the whole "now the news where you are" ending has always seemed a bit inelegant to me, and just rubbish for those watching on the News Channel.

(Oh & by the way, she announced it was six minutes to nine at 920 roughly)

Would like to see a proper close to national bulletins return - would be much neater and nobody is going to turn off during what is likely to be little more than a closing sting, rather than full credits.

Has the BBC News on BBC1 ever ran any sort of closing credits - I'm surprised really the various unions haven't objected more to the lack of credits on news bulletins.

On the subject of the handover, it should be :

2225 - Coming up on BBC ONE, the news where you are & on the BBC NEWS CHANNEL, the latest from Sportsday, but first the weather.

(Weather must be a simulcast on both channels!)

Two weeks before the (expected) move of BBC Domestic & NC newscast to NBH, but it seems they are making it low-key, unlike BBC WN's "The World's Newsroom" promotion... I wonder why.
