It's quite sad to see N8 with no reporters/staff in the background. What was a fantastic live newsroom view used for years on News 24, soon - never to be seen on screen, again.

Interesting the wipe that was used for the headlines recap.

BBC WN viewers actually seen that wipe a day before the NBH move...
supposed to screencap that, but computer's acting up.

The last broadcast of World News from N8 had Nik Gowing signing off with the cameras peddling down.
Actually because of a brief spell of returning to N8 for overnight similcasts it fell to Naga Muchetty to sign out of N8 for BBc world permanently.

Shouldn't this thread now be subtitled to 'Countdown to New Broadcasting House' as its only 18 days away?

And do we expect a locked thread anytime now? But I haven't hear any formal announcements on the NBH move...

I would hope we'd hear something more formal tomorrow, as it's the 1st March (Wishful thinking maybe?).

There's been a pilot of Dateline London this morning at NBH, according to @chrisckmedia, hence Shaun Ley's appearance today.

Tim made a move to the edge of the BARCOs, hence the empty seats! You definitely had us bemused then, Worzel.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it must have been about a year now since the sport moved to Salford?

And a few other things: "@chrisckmedia: 1000 - 2300 without stopping. YM, DL, TP and 3 NWB... Can it be done?" - what's TP and 3 NWB?

He's also said he hates NBH with a passion!

3 NWB could be 3 Network bulletins, I.e. the BBC One lunchtime, early evening and late evening bulletins - but I'm probably wrong. Very Happy

Am I right in thinking that The Bottom Line with Evan Davies has moved to MB1 at Millbank (Daily Politics etc studio) dressed to look like a radio studio?

*

Looking at this set of pictures on Flickr it looks like it used to be done in Studio 80A which is a big studio usually used for orchestras for Radio 3. Presumably moving it to Millbank saves rigging it as a TV studio every week.

Having said that, the picture quality looks too good for Millbank - is there a studio at NBH with a set that looks similar to Millbank's?
