With all this talk about the BBC News channel moving to New Broadcasting House, it doesn't feel that long ago that the 2008 rebrand actually took place (just feels like it was yesterday!).
Calling it 'The World's Newsroom' was more to do with the international audience rather then just gathering news from around the world for UK viewers. I'd imagine they may make more of the fact that it's the biggest newsroom in Europe, or just claim to be the biggest in the UK.
Well I was thinking along the lines of several promos that are made for each BBC One TV region connecting the regional studio and Studio E.
It is an Idea at least for us here in the UK who have had to put up with a DTL position labelled internationally "BBC Newsroom" as "Central London" and at a time when the BBC should be looking forward and not back it would make as least the internal future seem a bit more optimistic.
Was there not a rumour a few months back that they would have a live Dolly Track across the Newsroom at the Top of each Hour?
Well, BBC WN didn't do that live shot across the newsroom.
I Know. But it would be a little hard to have two live shots at the TOTH as presumably if they are doing it, it would be after the Titles and in the hold.
