Are the DQF plans for no business news still going ahead when we move to NBH? I think it will be a shame to lose these segments.

Can we expect the smallest of differences in picture quality on the News Channel from the channel using HD cameras? Very slight, I suspect.

It's more significant than you might think. It's pretty easy to spot HD vs SD originated content on SD outlets. HD stuff looks cleaner, and has far less obvious 'edge enhancement' (aka detail).

Newsnight and BBC World News look noticably better in picture quality terms, even on SD channels, than they did when they were in W12.

Completely agree. HD content is easy to spot on SD channels. I still have a CRT contraption as the main tv and when watching programmes like Africa on BBC One SD it's still very apparent at the increased level of detail the camera is picking up.

Would that not be a preprepared graphic by graphic design?

Yeah, but if it is a graphics design mistake, rather than an aston op mistake, they can't use 'the 'pressure of live TV' as an excuse.

Although that person might still have been under pressure to meet a deadline..... People do make mistakes.
