Joanna Gosling once again in N9, I don't understand why they can't use N6 because it's not being used by anyone else is it?

As has been explained, just because N6 isn't visible, doesn't mean it's facilities aren't being used.

I think we should give up trying to explain. We're just going round in circles.

What are the chances, they've left up the Business Edition and World News DOG again.

And as I type they've both just disappeared leaving the ticker on screen alone.

For me, its unusual to see the News 24 slot in N8. What a sexy looking studio that is (joking, as oft). Julian Worricker is a good presenter, BTW.

Is this half hour normally more "international" or "global" intensive, or just a regular N24 thirty minute segment, with merely a different backdrop?

I think it is mostly your average N24 half hour - although we normally have a business update too but these seem to be off during the Olympics. It must be odd seeing our UK presenters in there - it seemed odd when Carrie Gracie presented the same slot last week for the very first time!

We still have business updates - Maryam Moshiri was giving them this afternoon, and I've also seen Juliette Foster on a couple of times over the last few days.

Technically, it wasn't her very first time presenting the slot - Carrie was a regular evening presenter on News 24 around 10 years ago. But I see what you mean if, like me, you wasn't a regular viewer at the time!

That 60sec Olympic filler in full (though it starts and finishes about 1sec late)

Oh god, don't encourage him!

We've mostly had sports coverage on in the office, so I've not seen much of the news bulletins to see if this has actually happened - but I remember at the planning stage there was talk of the news and sport presenter both being in LP studio A. To get to the sports section, studio A gallery would cut to a wide shot, then TC4 would cut up the Salford sports news gallery, which would be on a close up of the sport presenter in studio A.
Made my head spin a bit thinking about it!
