They will have left Business Edition up by mistake - it's just how they always do it. Headlines shared with World, they go to a pre-recorded program, and we get the rest of the half hour in N8.
Stuff like that isn't boring, it's stuff like 'Joanna Gosling on at 7pm!' and a picture of Joanna, who is on quite often at 7pm, that is boring.
Please do add videos of odd bits like that - it might make the thread a bit more interesting..!
Thanks for that - I'm glad it was of interest to other people. I'm actually having the news channel on for most of the day for the Olympics so I might capture a few more oddities.
I thought normally the News Channel moved to N8 rather than joining World - don't World have Hard Talk usually in that slot?
Yes, BBC World has shown Hard Talk at 21:30 for several years now. It used to always be the New York & London edition of World Business Report in that slot, and Hard Talk used to be shown at 20:30, I seem to recall. But that changed when they dropped the flagship WBR (which, by the way, I miss quite a lot. It used to be quite a fun programme with the likes of Paddy O'Connell, Mishal Husain or John Terrett in NY and Manisha Tank/Jamie Robertson in London).

I'm the same in keeping the News Channel on when I'm not watching anything else - as it gives a good mix of whats going on. Unfortunately I can't leave my capture card in permanently so you're the man for getting stuff like that!

The same here - when I'm by the computer I'll have the News Channel on with my capture card as I also think it's giving a great mix of covering the Olympics and other news, whilst at other times I'll be watching the coverage on the other BBC channels.
