Following the Ten today there was an unusual ending. They went to a sting followed straight by the weather, no link from the presenter.

Was today's News at Ten controlled from TVC? I only ask because the graphics that were used appeared to be the BBC Sport live/locator DOG with a different style font (could it be coming through Salford?) - plus the split screen was also not the usual we see from TC7 and N6 font wise.
Also, we had a sting, into the weather and a slight picture jump.

Why not use that for the backdrop in the evenings, replacing the newsroom backdrop for the Olympic based news stories?

That's a good point, well made - but they are actually broadcasting from a building that has a big newsroom in it. It's more of a stylistic thing. With a bloody great picture of the Olympic Stadium behind the presenter, it's a bit more blatant.

That's a good point, well made - but they are actually broadcasting from a building that has a big newsroom in it. It's more of a stylistic thing. With a bloody great picture of the Olympic Stadium behind the presenter, it's a bit more blatant.

Because last night's Ten was in HD, TC4's gallery was in use to tie it all together. I thought they were just going to be using the regular N6 graphics, but perhaps TC4 is generating them locally, and their caption generator is configured slightly differently.
It'll be in use for the One/Six/Ten throughout the Games.

Unfortunatly no new titles yet...
Breakfast finished boradcasting on BBC ONE and NC at 9:13 and the NC went straight to the titles without a headline start
