Okay, everyone calm down, its just a powerpoint... just forget about it, don't know why I bother... All I get it criticism so why should I even bother....

If you are going to do PowerPoint mocks, at least use the web apps and SkyDrive for sharing, not to make us download.

I don't know if this has already been discussed today...

The Controller of BBC News Channel and Deputy Head of BBC Newsroom Kevin Bakhurst is leaving the BBC.

He is joining Ireland's public service broadcaster RTE as Managing Director of News and Current Affairs after the Olympics.

Bakhurst started working at the BBC as a researcher in the Business Unit in 1989. Within a year he moved on to become a producer of the Nine O'Clock News.

You do know sarcasm is usually followed by a Wink= Wink

...that said I've not actually seen this as I don't have Powerpoint...

I wasn't being sarcastic.
I'm not interested in pettiness. Just say things as they are, straight up. No need to be vile here. If you like it, say so. If you don't, likewise...

Are we going to see a special Olympic Countdown on the News channel for the build up/during the Olympics, much like the special World Cup ones we've seen in the past?

Tim standing up for some of the news earlier just before Dateline London, must say it looks a lot better than using the tight shot to try and 'hide' the presenter standing. Apologies for the bad shot of Tim with his mouth wide open!

That's what he does on the News Channel every Saturday before Dateline London. It helps Gavin Esler concentrate, apparently.

I really don't get why they try to hide the fact that the presenter is standing. It's not like people (even on this forum) are going to care. And, as you say, the tight shot is awful.
