BBC News Channel: Presentation

Oh well, I thought more people would have liked the flags!

The N24 flags music was ace. The countdown music was less over the top than what followed IMO.

And the flags animation was great as well, if only they used more real flags it would have been better as well. Maybe world flags for BBC World and UK flags, like Cornwall, for News 24.

I had not heard some of those longer pieces from BBC World

Using real flags could open the BBC to all sorts of controversy.

For a start, is the Cornwall flag official?

We've just had a different countdown on the news channel, the normal music but instead of pictures we got a countdown on a black screen with "NATIONAL" written at the top.

Went to quick to get a cap of it.

According to Stuart Earl on Twitter, the n6 vision mixing desk has blown up and "prepare for a decamp to N9"

I love N9, I wish they would use it more often and to me it seems like a cross between N6 and N8

Hopefully in there for a few days to see less of those horrible barcos!

Probably controlling N6 from the N9 gallery, is that possible?

I don't believe it is. The galleries are tied to specific studios, unlike at somewhere like Pacific Quay (?) where the galleries can control different studios. This is quite a modern technological advance and is quite expensive, which is why New Broadcasting House won't have such facilities.
