I don't know if this has been posted before, I came across it by chance and thought of TVF!

A just after 4:31-in you even get to see the news channel gallery.

I am not sure where to put this.

If I am in the NC studio at 00:45 and I sign off, would there be enough time to get to N8 to present Newsday at 01:00?

Just something that floats in my head about the two studios really.

Thanks for whatever information is received.

I think the 21:00 hour on the news channel should answer that as one of the presenters there has to switch from N6 to N8 for the Ten's rehearsal.

Thanks, I'll give it a look at.

From what I've seen, the presenter who is going to N8 usually leaves N6 10-15 minutes before they have to get there.

It's literally a 2 minute walk, the News channel studio is on the first floor of the newsroom and the second consists of N8 and N9. When I was there and walked from N6 to N8 it took a few minutes. Remember, the presenters would need to mic up and get comfortable, so that's probably why they leave a little earlier.

N6 to TC7 is a bit more of a treck as you can imagine. Hence when Breakfast had to move to N6, Bill took a while to get back from N6 to TC7 while Sian was presenting solo.

I remember once when there was a big Breaking story and Chris Eakin joined the World presenter in N8, he threw to the weather at 12am and after that and a few promos - plus the countdown - he was already seated in N8 ready to go at 1am with Mike Embley (I believe it was the Chilian Miners rescue). So it can be done.

Presumably they've had to take the channel off air, then? What are they showing, children's cartoons?

The BBC Sport studio seems to have an extra plasma screen now, there also seems to be some frosting behind them too - looks a bit like what we're expecting to see for the News channel in BH.

I'll get a capture during the next bulletin. It's not very clear from your description what it looks like.

Your ability to completely ignore all criticism - Tumble Tower style - is admirable.
