BBC News Channel: Presentation

BBC NC now carrying a clean feed of French election debate, which is being shown on all major channels in France.

The NC had a an on-screen graphic for bbc.com/news about 5 minutes ago. Someone must be getting confused with WN

Or perhaps the NC were carrying WN coverage and only overlayed the logo and clock, not the ticker.

It was Joanna Gosling presenting in N6. Should have been World News America on WN

is it just me or dose the nc studio's desk have an extention on the left side?

Are you talking about the (best words I could find to describe it) large semi-circle cover that's designed to hide the presenters legs, printers (and handbags!). It does come and go (it's removable), depending on if any guests are being seated on that side of the desk.

Almost 2 Minute Countdown with Different Soundtrack just used.

That was the filler countdown that was used with no numbers. It's normally used to link into the simulcast with BBC1 evening/late bulletins at weekend.

The 5pm hour was being simulcast on BBC2 which probably explains it's use
