Wasn't the sign language guy in the wrong place between 13:00 and 13:30? The picture had been shrunk down so that the sign language guy didn't obscure too much of it, but the sign language guy was also shrunk too. So, there was a white border around everything and the guy was obscuring almost as much of the picture that he would have done if everything was kept full screen. Is this normal? Seems like bad design if it is.
Ignoring the comedy bug for a moment, I'm loving the graphics. The way the feeds animate is really cool. Why can't this sort of thing be done across BBC News?
And more to the point, why can't we have Sports World Have Your Say on the NC? It seems to have a lot of uk contributors despite not being shown here.
I'm guessing it goes out on BBC World Service, which is available on DAB in the UK. However, I agree that it would be a good programme to transmit on the News Channel, along with World Have Your Say.
Funny moment just now on the News channel where Sangita Myska's report finished without her saying 'Sangita Myska, BBC News, [Location]'. She finished what she was saying, paused and said to the cameraman 'is that OK' whilst Sophie was trying to come out of the report and the video remained on screen in real time for a moment, to the amusement of Jon and Sophie!
Who is presenting SWHYS now Amanda Davies have left?
I suspect it will either be Matt or Adnan, as both are the only London based anchors left. Sue is also there, but on news. The only other is Sanjiv Shetty?
