This is sort of Broadcasting House related but thought it fitted more here.

With BBC World News moving to BH in the summer, what will happen with the half hour before the 10 which is currently in N8? None of the options to me make sense but one will have to be picked: they either scrap rehearsal times for the ten (which will never happen IMO), keep the half hour in N8 (which I would assume would be very costly as it's basically manning a gallery for 30 minutes, or moving the half hour to World News' new BH studio (which would mean a different presenter would have to take over). The latter on reflection probably makes the most sense.

Or I suppose they could do a simulcast of the WNC with the NC at 9pm until 10pm, just like they do at 1am.

I'm pretty sure that Newsnight is moving first, so the News at 10 will probably come from TC7 thereafter, and the News Channel will no longer need to decamp to N8 for 30 minutes. N8 will likely just close when BBC World News moves.

Do they currently use three different full crews in that hour - one for the News Channel, one for World News and one for the Ten?

If Newsnight doesn't move before World News, couldn't the News Channel come from TC7 in the 21:30 half hour? It would impact Newsnight's rehearsal time (though they'd have plenty of time before 21:30 and still keep the half hour after 22:00, which is a lot better than when the Ten and Newsnight both needed prep time in TC7) but could work on a short term basis? Alternatively N8 or N9 could still be used, if they had the crew.

It's the Sopel & Minchin show this afternoon! We could be in for a few giggles hopefully!

Yes it could, with Sports bulletins to air from Salford beginning April, they will only need to be in there for 15 minutes, 20 at most. But why would it? The best information we have indicates that Newsnight is moving first.

Newsnight is to share studios with Andrew Marr, Sunday Politics and some BBC World News programmes (Possibly GMT, Impact, The Hub, World Have Your Say and World News Today) We know for a fact that both World Have Your Say and Newsnight are moving in June, from various BBC sources including BBC Ariel and Ros Atkins twitter. We also know that the BBC World News will use two separate studios, and will have completely moved in before the Olympics. I'm guessing they will dual site for a few weeks to iron out all the inevitable problems.

Services remaining in TVC will be the NC and BBC One Bulletins. To save money they will more than likely close One Studio, my guess is that it will be N8 as the Newsroom will probably be looking rather empty by that point. So there will still need to be two galleries in use at 21:30 one for the NC and one for News at 10 rehearsals. Logic dictates that TC7 will be used for the 10 and the NC will cease to decamp during the 21:30.

Could the sports programme which lasts about 30mins run from 9.30 after the news headlines and weather to fill the end. What about showing click?

You still need a gallery to run it through, and the option to keep rolling if there is some significant news occurring.

TC7 will close first, once NN is up and running in Studio B, because it needs to be handed back to resources.
Marr will be the first programme from Studio B in early Sept, with Sunday Politics a week or two later and NN on air soon after that.
Once TC7 is shut expect the 1700 to move to N8, to allow the Six record & rehearsal, and the full 2100 hour likewise.
This is all, obviously, dependant on timelines not shifting too much!

Presumably World News will already have moved by this point?

Interesting and logical solutions. I suppose it makes sense to close TC7 first as it's not technically owned by News unlike N6 and N8.

September... Shocked

Does that mean all the schedules have slipped again, or is World News still moving in June?

Plan is to get World moved and settled in Studio C before the American elections ... This will have to happen before the oympic lockdown period.
The set is currently under construction and operational proving for the gallery starts in next month.
