Every time i see the AWEFUL hand over from the 10 to Chris Eakin... ...STOP IT, STOP IT, STOP IT
What is wrong with it? Better than crashing into a sting and Chris reading out the headlines straight away. The way they do it now, wastes a bit of time so that Chris reads the headlines bang on 10:30 and we get to see the front pages with both presenters.

Its far better to just get on with it, than spend two or three minutes with Chris flapping, wasting a 'bit of time' on a half baked paper review that the News-at-10 presenter has VISIBLY no interest in.
Tim Willcox regularly just says "thanks Huw" and then launches into the headlines, and it feels far smoother, no Sting needed.
Don't think the News Channel has done a regional simulcast before have they for a big story outside of London have they?
The Points West simulcast will also be on BBC One HD.
News 24 did. They simulcast at least one Newsline Special from BBC Northern Ireland on the day of the Omagh bombing. (Though that would be a national simulcast rather than regional I guess)

Couldn't agree with you more! Chris Eakin seems to have big problems connecting with the presenter of the Ten, regardless of who it is. Always seems so awkward, the banter is stiff, often fluffed up and really quite difficult to watch.
Confusion this afternoon when Greek pm announcement started, lots of background talk, people saing about switching feeds finally a translators voice popped up. At the end of the speech on sky news Kay must have been watching as she knew it had ended (it was promptly end with a test card) and made a brief comment. But BBC thought it was cut off mid flow later blaming the host broadcaster and thinking the pictures of the PM leaving was him entering, even on screen they covered the LIVE graphic once mentioned on air. Complete mess from BBC.
