Yes, it definitely is simulcasting on BBC World. I was surprised at 2300 when both Adam Parsons and Adnan Nawaz popped up in N6.

Wow, Joanna Gosling standing up at the TOTH to introduce the first story!!

Bit strange really, both Joanna and Rachel read out the headlines during the sequence, but it was only Rachel in vision when she said "This is BBC News, the headlines at 8 o'clock" and "also coming up in the next hour". Then the titles ran and it cut to Joanna standing next to the barco wall with a 'Libya Conflict' graphic, reading out the first story!

Interesting - don't think they've done that before. I'm sure Worzel's dreams have come true Wink

Don't happen to have a cap do you?

Don't have a cap, sorry. Worzel would have been wetting himself if he was watching, I'm sure!

Please, say someone captured it - I cannot believe I missed it!

I really hope that it's the start of them doing this!

Kate Adie being interviewed on the BBC News channel by Joanna Gosling, being pretty rude and abrupt to her Joanna to be honest. What's she got a bee in her bonnet about?

It really did happen! I'm astonished! Thanks for uploading the clip.

I can't understand why they cannot do that more often, it looks so much better than having the generic TOTH from the desk all the time, why not vary it like that now and again?

It reminded me of how they used to TOTH's in the News 24 days...

You're astonished because someone stood up to read the news headlines, or astonished that Joanna was on shift, or astonished at what exactly? (My question is genuine and not sarcastic.)

I think he was mostly astonished just to see a presenter standing up to read the main news story at the top of the hour (like I was really - not astonised though, just surprised to see something different). It's Worzel's DREAM, if you didn't know, to see a news channel presenter, be it Joanna Gosling or anybody else, standing up to read the news.
