Slightly unusual bit of presentation on the News channel, with Adam Parsons in N6 doing business news from the wall, and throwing to the weather from the usual business/sport position at the wall.

It made my day

I know Wink It was nice - made my day Smile

The weather has been handed to from that wall before you know. Not usually at the end of the business news though, mostly at the end of weekday Sportsday by the sports presenter

However, if it made your day, good for you! Shocked

Would that not be the most pointless handover/junction the News channel has ever done!

Huw... 'Coverage continues on the BBC News channel, now on BBC One we join the BBC news team where you live'

Sting Plays

Martine Croxall comes on for 5 seconds and says 'Here's the Weather with Matt Taylor'

And we cross to the Weather!

Very pointless. Why not just go straight to Matt Taylor after the sting?! Think it might be to do with NC branding consistency though, I've seen the kind of thing happen many times..

They don't normally have 'Weatherview' at 2258 do they?

I think they normally have it earlier in the evening but perhaps they'd not had time for it.

Just a red box where 'BBC News' should go...

Edit: Graphics taken off screen, except red box which has been brought back.

Edit again: Graphics back, complete with red box in place of 'BBC NEWS' and lack of a clock.

Edit #3: Graphics completely gone. The red box has appeared and disappeared a few times, but they clearly haven't fixed it. The graphics burned in to the package were still present.

Edit #4: Graphics back at :05.

Here we go again. At 6pm, Roger Johnson did a TOTH standing up at the barco wall, for the simple reason to let Mishal Husain get ready for her BBC1 bulletin, sitting down, at 6.05pm. Pointless. Why not just let Mishal do the 6pm TOTH, or extend the last hour by 5 minutes so the weather could link neatly into the BBC1 bulletin?

For consistency (weather wise).
Presumably Mishal is being breifed for bulletin. I.e. Opening cameras etc.

Don't know if it's just for today, but the News Channel countdown is now a countdown to the Olympics. (366 days and 10 hours at the 10am TOTH)

Just seen the same thing at the 11am TOTH (366 days and 9 hours to go).

A nice touch to mark 1 year to go, something different, hope it is only for today though
