Was the 8pm Summary cancelled last night or was it moved to BBC Two with the other programes?

Cancelled AFAIK - it didn't go out on BBC2 at any rate as the regions can't opt out to do their bit.

Rachael Hodges doing the overnight shift tonight

OK actually

But do like her on 5 Live on weekday evenings, but suspect she may well be staying in London based on her News Channel appearances of late

As I mentioned in the Sport thread. The One Show was moved to BBC Two and it's EPG details continued to say 'followed by BBC News' but no news was broadcast on BBC Two at 20:00.

Certainly easy on the eye, which is apparently the main requirement these days - but she does strike me as being a little cold on camera. I'm sure she's a delightful, charming person in the flesh, but she lacks warmth on screen (in my opinion).

Is she the one who looks like Heather Morris from Glee?

Haven't seen Glee - so Googled - I imagine that is the one you are thinking about.

Heather Mills maybe!

TOTH just then used the usual countdown, introduced in 2010.

That would be the 90 second version which wasn't replaced, still played on a loop into 22.00 seven nights a week.

Still very tired sounding a bad decision, obviously the result of some highly paid BBC Staffer earning points at annual appraisal time.

Some problems on the BBC News channel this evening, Sportsday had a number of reports not playing or if they did - crashing into the presenter, and now just with Wimbledon being mispelt as 'Wimbeldon'. I think someones had one too many drinks at the Murray victory.

Some big problems with the weather graphics on the news channel just now with black boxes appearing around the temperatures, place names etc, poor Susan Powel having to apologise because they were obscuring everything. I don't know if anyone got a cap of the problem, but its something I've never seen happen before.
