Must admit I noticed she was sitting down at 1230, when normally she'd be standing up.
I did briefly wonder whether they would've done it with another presenter from N8/N9 instead.
The guests were quiet at 1230, considering Maxine was right next to them while doing a summary first, but I bet they have to be kicked out quick at 1255 though?
Did you hear the noise they were making at the end?!
No I didn't.
Maxine Mahwinney presenting Dateline London, never seen her do this before. After the summary she invited viewers to stay with her for Dateline London. Is this a first?

I didn't see the coverage, so if the NC was doing it's own thing, which gallery was controlling what output?
(I'm assuming N6 can't broadcast 2 completely separate outputs, else it could broadcast a pre-recorded programme at 2130 while preparing for the Ten?)
(That's a point. Instead of broadcasting live from N8 at 2130, while they prepare for the Ten in N6, why don't they broadcast their earlier pre-recorded bits like Click or similar instead? Makes the fact they're in a separate studio for half an hour less noticable.)
The, now regular, NC OB from the BAFTAs tonight, allowing the studio to be used for the National BBC ONE bulletin.

I think it was mentioned on here a few months back that it is something to do with the fact that the News channel have quite a large viewership between 9pm and 10pm and they like to be live. I may be wrong.

Just flicked on to the BBC News channel and thought Tony Blair was reading the news!
(Turned out he was doing a down-the-line interview with Ben Brown who was in Cairo). I thought the BBC were short staffed and may of drafted him in! Had quite good on air presence, maybe not a ratings-winner though.

He looked like he was reading the News (as my previous post said LOL). It looked like the side pod from N8.

(Pinched from the BBC World News thread - this is from last year when World relaunched, I think the lighting for the N8 pod has much improved since then)
