I only wish they'd do this sort of thing more often!

Never...

If I were in charge of News 24 I'd change it to one locked off camera angle on the section of the barcos with the biggest gaps and then would have people rearrange themselves to get in front of it. Purely to annoy Worzel.

Of course, rearranging themselves with swivel chairs, not standing and walking...

I'd also banish the weather presenters to the weather centre, and use the 6PM newsroom backdrop at 7PM (7PM at 8PM and 10PM at 9PM), along with the wrong countdowns.

Was this the same last night too? Tuned in at 00:45 to see Chris Eakin with a papers update, then "back to Matt" for the final quarter of WNA.

Maxine Mahwinney presenting Dateline London, never seen her do this before. After the summary she invited viewers to stay with her for Dateline London. Is this a first?

Not seen her doing it before - Carole Walker has presented in the past when Gavin has been away. Gavin is in Berlin. Also just seen Yasmin Alibhai-Brown on...has it been lively?

Best Dateline I've ever seen, hope she gets an extra hour off!!! A couple of fiery exchanges as ever, but indeed very well done! A bit quiet on the Yasmin front which is a shame - but at least we got a smile from Maxine!

oh but it is. Out of interest, would you be content if the BBC reintroduced the News Dancer from the Day Today?

Must admit I noticed she was sitting down at 1230, when normally she'd be standing up.

I did briefly wonder whether they would've done it with another presenter from N8/N9 instead.

The guests were quiet at 1230, considering Maxine was right next to them while doing a summary first, but I bet they have to be kicked out quick at 1255 though?

Did you hear the noise they were making at the end?!
