They do, although I believe some of the panels don't because they were replaced due to wear and tear.

You can see at 1:16 on a shot of the newsroom.
Does the newsroom at TVC still have the 1997 flags on the glass on the staircase? I went there a few years ago and they were still there.

BBC World appears to be staying in N9 for the whole day today. James Dagwell with the overnights and now Owen Thomas ( and suntan) on the day shift.
Why is the overnight bulletin in N9? Planned maintenance? That LCD (I'm assuming) looked very odd displaying the fake newsroom background, and when they switched to Egypt pictures the autocue was reflecting.

Yeah, some of them are still very much there from the flags era.

An interesting clip I've found on the internet from the inauguration of Barack Obama, showing how BBC News prepared for it. Includes a quick sneak at what happens during presenter changeover (also proves the presenters do have legs!)

I've actually seen the change overs take place on the news channel live whilst being in the studio and in the gallery.

Did you not stop them and order them to stand up?

Funny that, I'm sure I once saw Emily's bag hanging out of that desk once but I thought I was going blind! And whoever said that they're not talkative, I bet there has to be some Newsroom feuds. I wander who really hates their shift/partner. Maybe not a shift-swapper, maybe it's one of the 'other' presenters - I remember once when Jon Sopel was talking to Dominic Laurie and told him to "get a life" after saying that he "just came back on holiday from the Eurozone", as to which he unplugged himself and said "I've had it!" and walked off!

I'd say Ben Brown must be one of the most popular members of staff within the newsroom and his colleagues - he gets to present with everyone, aside from Annita McVeigh (maybe there's a feud there somewhere)!

It was mentioned to the director in passing
Anyway they are a really nice bunch of people there, I was made to feel really welcome and it was an exciting experience!
