The last BBC building I worked in had wall boxes all over the place each with multiple connections for cameras and video/audio tie lines... but only a couple were ever used. It's easier to put them in when you fit out the place than retrofit them later, or run cables along floors on the rare opportunity you need to
Well it said in the Guardian report that Broadcasting House has 'about 20 camera positions around the building {which means] it can double as studios' so perhaps we will see some more interesting presentation.
