Is there any reason why the sports headlines in the six (during the spot when the regions do their headlines) on the NC are done from a CSO rather than the floor of N6? (I'm assuming that the six is in TC7 as usual)
They always use CSO for the headlines - I think it's for consistency. Before E24 was axed the E24 headlines came from the BARCO screens of
N6, but I think the sports headlines are using CSO as they are for the one and ten. Similarly, it's not
necessary
for the 3pm headlines to be CSO, given a studio like TC7 would be available, but it's the cheapest, most consistent way of doing it.
On another note, the more I see of him the more I think Robert Peston will be the one to replace Nick Robinson as political editor - love him or hate him, he's very well connected and clearly knows his stuff. Hope Nick stays around for a good few years at least, though.
